April’s Fool Day… go French

The 1st of April is “April Fool’s Day”, a custom that is known around the world. This is a day when people play tricks on each other for fun. A trick is like a practical joke. Did you know that in France, the April’s Fool Day is called a poisson d’avril, literally an “April fish”?
Did you know that the most common prank that takes place in France, is to stick a cut-out paper fish on a friend’s back…. then giggling ensues until they realize!

We are going to show you a simple way how to make a poisson d’avril!
You will need:

  • Colourful paper
  • Googly eye
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Black marker
